As our Mission Statement notes, St. Philip Neri is a Catholic Community united to form a church family dedicated to continuing the ministry of Christ. We will strive to be examples to others through open minds, open hearts, and open arms.
We graciously welcome new families and individuals to our Catholic community. Registration forms and welcome packets, which acquaint new members with Parish life, are available in the Parish Office or from the Gathering Space in the church. Alternatively, new members may also complete the New Parishioner Registration Form and return it to the Parish Office. After receipt, a packet of temporary offertory envelopes for weekly contributions will be mailed. Envelopes printed with your name and address will be mailed at some point between one and three months after registration, depending upon the time of registration in relationship to the standard envelope mailing schedule.
St. Philip Neri occasionally sponsors a Newcomer’s Luncheon in the Ministry Building after the 11:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday morning. Food, fellowship and a few ministry leaders are usually in attendance, with this event offering an excellent way for new parishioners to learn about our church community. Details will be mailed to new parishioners.
Parishioners are encouraged to strive for active membership, which is typically determined by the following four items:
Proper registration in the Parish for a sufficient period of time;
Faithful attendance at Mass on Sundays and Holy Days;
Use of the envelope or electronic giving system in regular support of the Parish; and
Activity in at least one Parish ministry, program or organization.
Please register as soon as possible, as an individual must be a registered, contributing (as in the Stewardship of time, talents and treasures) Catholic member for at least three months before a sponsorship certificate for sacraments can be issued to those asked to be sponsors. This requirement is also extended to those seeking a Catholic School Subsidy.
St. Philip Neri also welcomes individuals who are not Catholic, or are baptized but currently inactive. Please refer to the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) information under the Religious Education tab, and then contact the pastor through the Parish Office.
